{I have the best dad EVER!}

I've had a rough past couple of days and when I went home to my parent's house for the weekend I decided to borrow dad's DSLR camera to take a few photos (see here). Well last night dad showed up with a brand new Nikon D3100 for me!

It's wonderful and I can't wait to use that little bad boy!

I love Sydney's conservative but funky style. She knows how to work those outfits. I also love her relationship with her husband, she writes her blog just like a conversation (something I strive to be able to do). She's funny and witty and always knows just what to write about to make you want to come back tomorrow.


{Emily from Cupcakes and Cashmere}

Cupcakes and Cashmere was the first fashion blog I started reading. I covet her clothes and her confidence (and maybe her life in L.A.) she's a wonderful model and has such a knack for style (fashion and interior design).



{Jillian from Jillian Harris}

I know this isn't a 'blog' per say but Jillian does do blog-esque posts and I love her fashion and life advice! I only watched her season of 'The Bachelorette' and her amazing fashion is why I watched. She's quirky and loves her job and that's why I'm all for Jillian!

Must-read Blogs {Part One}

I have been following different blogs for about 2 years now but have never stuck with writing my own. I always seem to fall off the wagon when I don't have anyone reading it, but I've decided to stick with it this time because without struggle there is no progress. I have a list of must read blogs that I visit daily, I have never met any of these ladies but I feel as if I have a friendship with them through the reading of their funny, witty, and stylish blogs...

I just began following her blog about a week ago but man, she takes the most amazing pictures and she looks just like my best friend, Leanne, so I can't help but feel a connection with her.

To say this girl has fabulous style is an understatement. She was the first blog I read from the beginning to now...I love her quirky sense of humor and the fact that she's a Texan and went to college in the same town as I do makes me feel even closer to her!

To say that Taylor has amazing style is an understatement. I wish I had the cajones to dress like her...but ever since I started reading her blog daily I have begun to wear lipcolor...so job well done Taylor!

Summer Adventures

I've always been obsessed with animals...I watch "Animal Planet" whenever possible, I love going to pet stores, and most recently Alecc has been taking me to different zoos that are close to our little town.

I love looking at the brightly colored birds, the goofy penguins, and watching Alecc try and provoke the 'bigger' animals. Hopefully we can go again once the weather cools down.
